Lotus Esprit S1

First I have made 2 plane, in material editor click none on diffuse and choose bitmap, which is the side and top images of the car than drag the material on the planes.

I than made a box for half of the body of the car, convert the box to poly, than using the images as a guide I use vertex and extrude to change the shape of the box and to make the wheel arch. I have add in extra vertex by using swiftloop. After the car shape is made I apply symmetry to the box, which create a mirror version along the middle giving the whole shape of the car.
I have also create another box for the bumper, convert to poly to change the shape and apply symmetry to the box to make a whole bumper. Than I have apply turbosmooth, than group smooth to the box to make the car smooth in some area, by setting the polygon smooth group id.

The wheel is made out of torus, tube and cylinder, first create a cylinder type in 10 for the sides and 1 for the segments, than convert to poly. Select poly, highlight and bevel 5 faces from the side and meshsmooth it. Create a torus and tube and put them together with the cylinder.

For the wing mirror I made a box, convert to poly, change the shape by moving the vertex and apply meshsmooth. I than clone the mirror to create the second mirror and to flip the wing mirror I have use the mirror tool.

The light of the car is made by one box, by setting 3 different material id to the box. Than open material editor, choose multi/sub-object and set number to 3. To create the glass effect I have use raytrace by clicking refraction none and choose raytrace. Choose the colour I want at diffuse and lower the number of refraction to make the colour visible. Drag the material on to the box and it will have the glass effect on it.

To finish the body of the car, I have set each material id on the body carefully to make sure everything is straight and at the right place. Open material editor choose multi/sub-object and set number to 3, add in the glass material for the window, change the specular level, glossines and soften to the white colour for the body and black for the line. The number plate is create using a plane with a bitmap made from using Photoshop.
